You stroll casually through the park, making your way over to Broadway where you’re meeting some friends at one of the new cafes in Mount Pleasant. Then you’re all heading to the Farmers’ Market at Hasting’s Park to buy some fresh seafood caught that morning. Dinner involves a backyard BBQ at a friend’s place, local craft brews, and the evening sounds of the neighbourhood from over the fence. You stay up talking and laughing until the stars appear over the roofs of the houses. It’s just a regular Saturday in Vancouver’s East Side.

From the community history of Strathcona, Mount Pleasant’s trendy shopping and chilling hangouts, the fun public events of Renfrew, and the great outdoor spaces of Riley Park, it’s a collage of places and points of view with Vancouver condos for every type.

Because of its largely residential zoning and more affordable pricing compared to Downtown, the East Side attracts of lot of new families and young professionals. Vancouver condos for sale here are still in shorter supply than other areas, but there are a rising number of developments in the works. The East Side as a whole seems to be transforming as old meets the new.

East Side condos make ideal homes for new families, because of the natural, suburban feel, but it’s also a great spot for working professionals who commute Downtown or elsewhere in the city. Broadway is one of the main thoroughfares for drivers heading east and west, plus the Millennium Line SkyTrain services the area with many stations.

Some good places to grab a bite are Uncle Fatih's Pizza, Booster Juice or Megga Bite Pizza. Venture a little further for a meal at one of the neighbourhood's restaurants. If you love coffee, you're not too far from Starbucks located at 1780 Broadway E. Groceries can be found at Food Stop Store which is a short walk and you'll find East Van Youth Clinic Ifi only steps away as well. You are a short walk from great parks like W.C. Shelley Park and McSpadden Park.

Getting around the area is made simple. There is Southbound Commercial Dr @ N Grandview Hwy Bus Stop, only steps away, with route Victoria/downtown, and route Downtown/victoria Nightbus nearby.
