The Financial District is at the heart of this Downtown neighbourhood, often thought of as a Concrete Jungle, there is a surprising amount of green space within The Core, great for grabbing lunch to go and stretching your legs on a beautiful summer day. There is quite a bit of new construction in the core, with new Toronto condo towers growing out of once abandoned land and Historic Buildings like Union Station getting much needed facelifts. There has been steady growth in The Core for the past few years and that growth is set to continue for some time to come.

Some good places to grab a bite are IQ Foods, Ruby Thai Kitchen or King Taps. Venture a little further for a meal at one of the neighbourhood's restaurants. If you love coffee, you're not too far from Tim Hortons located at 77 King St W. Groceries can be found at Longo's which is only steps away and you'll find Sutherland Chan Clinic only steps away as well. Entertainment is close by, with Royal Alexandra Theatre, Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre Centre and Imagine Cinemas Market Square only a 5 minute walk. With Forty-Eighth Highlanders Regimental Museum and Campbell House Museum a 3-minute walk from your door, you'll always have something to do on a day off or weekend. For nearby green space, Berczy Park and Courthouse Square Park could be good to get out of your home and catch some fresh air or to take your dog for a walk.

Without a car, you can get around quite easily. The closest transit stop is a Light RailStop (KING ST WEST AT BAY ST WEST SIDE) and is only steps away, but there is also a Subway stop, ST ANDREW STATION - SOUTHBOUND PLATFORM, not far connecting you to the TTC. It also has (Light Rail) route 304 King, (Bus) route 503 Kingston Rd. Tripper, and more nearby. If you're driving, you'll have easy access to the rest of the city by way of Gardiner Expressway as well, which is only a 2-minute drive using Bay St ramps.
