The rebirth of the historical Drake and Gladstone Hotels along Queen Street signalled the beginning of rapid gentrification in Little Portugal, where Portuguese restaurants and businesses now share the neighbourhood with art galleries and trendy bars. New Toronto condos along Queen and Dundas make this diverse neighbourhood an increasingly attractive choice for urban professionals and small families enjoying access to Trinity Bellwoods Park and local restaurants and shops.

The Drake Hotel and Gladstone Hotel are the top must-see spots for brunch in all of Toronto and a great place for out of town guests to enjoy a bit of history. There are a number of fantastic restaurants in Little Portugal, plus the Ossington Strip is on your doorstep. There is a bit of greenery at McCormick Park but you are only a small hop from the beauty of Trinity Bellwoods Park, a great place to spend the day. The shops of Queen West are easily accessible and the food markets in Roncesvalles are open year round.

Streetcars travelling along Dundas and Queen Streets can take you anywhere you want to go, and the Dufferin bus connects with the Bloor-Danforth subway as well as the Go Station at Exhibition Place. If you’re driving, there are a number of major routes to take you to the Gardiner Expressway and the rest of the city.

Some good places to grab a bite are The Federal, Sukhothai or Sunrise Grill. Venture a little further for a meal at one of the neighbourhood's restaurants. If you love coffee, you're not too far from Fix Coffee + Bikes located at 80 Gladstone Ave. Groceries can be found at Cocoa Fortunato which is not far and you'll find Del Core, A J DDS a 3-minute walk as well. Entertainment is close by, with Roseneath Theatre and Theatre Centre only a 5 minute walk. If you're an outdoor lover, you are not far from McCormick Park and Parkdale Health Centre - Building Grounds.

Without a car, you can get around rather easily. The closest transit stop is a BusStop (DUFFERIN ST AT GORDON ST) and is only steps away, but there is also a Subway stop, DUFFERIN STATION - EASTBOUND PLATFORM, a 15-minute walk connecting you to the TTC. It also has (Bus) route 29 Dufferin, and (Bus) route 329 Dufferin Night Bus nearby. Residents also have easy access to Gardiner Expressway, which is within a 4-minute drive using Dowling Ave ramps.
