The West End of Toronto is in the middle of a renaissance of sorts. There are 14 neighbourhoods such as Parkdale and Liberty Village , which had previously been on the decline, have seen amazing growth and revitalization. Parkdale has become one of the top dining destinations in Toronto.
The progress is nothing short of amazing with numerous new condo projects changing the skyline and bringing some beautification to the waterfront areas. The average price per square foot has risen steadily over the last few years in part due to sales of Condos in Toronto but also due to the new development. There are even new neighbourhoods such as Liberty Village that didn’t even exist 10 years ago. There are about 100 West End condos at the moment and that number is set to grow, with all the new development happening at the moment.
If you’re looking for a safe haven away from the hustle of Downtown, look no further than High Park. In the spring, the cheery blossoms bring people from all over the world to bask in their beauty. There is also Trinity Bellwoods Park, a little closer to the shopping and dining on Queen West but still spacious enough to cob a squat under a tree and have a picnic.
There is a much-relaxed feel about the West End, making it a popular destination for many.
There are a lot of great restaurants. If you can't start your day without caffeine fear not, your nearby choices include Crystal Donut. Nearby grocery options: Loblaws is only steps away.
If you are looking for transit, don't fear, there is a Bus Stop (Dundas St West at Roncesvalles Ave) nearby. It also has route Carlton, route Parkdale, and more nearby. Access to Gardiner Expressway is within a few minutes drive away, making it easy for those driving to get into and out of the city using Dowling Ave ramps.
