Kensington Market may be small but it is mighty. With a long history as a meeting place, food and clothing market, Kensington is just as popular and prominent as it was 100 years ago. This ever-changing neighbourhood has been home to the Jewish and Italian communities as well as Chinese and Caribbean and many more. The vibe of this eclectic place incorporates all it’s past history as well as it’s vibrant present even being proclaimed a National Historic Site of Canada in 2006. There aren’t a huge number of Toronto condos here, although this is a neighbourhood very much in demand with amazing fresh produce markets, restaurants and more.

Some good places to grab a bite are KOS Restaurant, Eative Film Cafe or Pico De Gallo. Venture a little further for a meal at one of the neighbourhood's restaurants. If you love coffee, you're not too far from King's Cafe located at 192 Augusta Ave. Groceries can be found at Nu Bugel which is only steps away and you'll find United Smiles of Kensington a short distance away as well. Entertainment is close by, with Choicest Toy Theatre and Common Boots Theatre a 6-minute walk. You are nearby from great parks like Sonya's Parkette and Bellevue Square Park. Schools are readily available as well with Scadding Court Community Centre - Building Grounds and Alex Wilson Community Garden - Open Green Space a 3-minute walk.

Getting around the area is made simpler with access to the TTC. QUEEN'S PARK STATION - SOUTHBOUND PLATFORM Subway stop is a 11-minute walk. There is also COLLEGE ST AT AUGUSTA AVE Light RailStop, not far, with (Bus) route 306 Carlton, and (Light Rail) route 506 Carlton nearby. For drivers, the closest highway is Gardiner Expressway and is within a few minutes drive, making it easier to get into and out of the city using on and off ramps on Rees St.
