Situated to the west of North Vancouver City, Lions Gate is an established residential neighbourhood that borders the Capilano River as well as the TransCanada Highway. The center of Lions Gate is undergoing a large-scale community transformation to become the Lions Gate Village, a pedestrian-oriented space that will will act as the entry-point into the neighbourhood. The Lions Gate Bridge on Highway 99 is the main connection to Downtown Vancouver, while the SeaBus ferry service at the Lonsdale Quay offers a pedestrian-only alternative to get across the harbour.
