Waterdown became a community of the City of Hamilton in 2001, but it has retained much of its previous small-town character. As a growing residential community with a quaint old town core, the Hamilton condos for sale in Waterdown tend to be townhouse style units that offer a suburban experience.

Many of the Waterdown condos are located along or near Highway 5, between the site of the old town and the newer commercial developments where residents will find Walmart, Value Village, and Home and Garden RONA, among others. If you head into the old town of Waterdown, from Main Street to Mill Street there are boutique shops, pubs, and cafes that offer a charming community atmosphere. Waterdown schools cover all grades from elementary to high school, and there is a local YMCA for extra-curricular activities. Best of all, the community is nearby some beautiful, local nature preserves such as Smokey Hollow, where waterfalls and hiking trails offer picturesque outdoor excursions.
