Parkdale is a neighbourhood in Toronto’s West End with a varied past of big ups and big downs. From an upper-income community with many notable mansions at the start of the 20th century, the development of the Gardiner Expressway brought Parkdale to sudden halt. But that’s all changing now at a fairly rapid pace. Young professionals, artists and hipsters are flocking to the area and with them come new Toronto condos.

There is some amazing waterfront access in Parkdale, with beaches and walking trails that can make you forget you’re in the city, plus some small parks sprinkled throughout. The restaurants up on Queen Street literally have people lining up in the streets, causing so much of a stir that there is now a moratorium on opening restaurants in the area. Bordered by Liberty Village, Little Portugal, and High Park, there are loads of options for shopping, dining and entertainment all within a few short blocks. Some would say that Parkdale has hit a Renaissance recently and become the new place to be in Toronto, and with regard to Toronto condos and lofts, we would have to agree.

The 504 King Streetcar will take you up to the Bloor-Danforth subway line as well as downtown, while the 501 Queen streetcar goes out as far as Humber to the west and Neville Park to the east. Living in a Parkdale condo gives you easy access to the Gardiner Expressway and in turn the rest of the city.

There are a lot of great restaurants. If you can't start your day without caffeine fear not, your nearby choices include Tim Hortons. Groceries can be found at Glory Hole Doughnuts which is only a 4 minute walk and you'll find Parkdale Dental Office only a 4 minute walk as well. Interested in the arts? Look no further than Shawn Skeir Gallery and Snowball Gallery. You are a short distance away from great parks like Lakeshore Boulevard Parklands and Beaty Avenue Parkette.

If you are reliant on transit, don't fear, there is a TTC Light RailStop (KING ST WEST AT WILSON PARK RD WEST SIDE) a short distance away. It also has (Light Rail) route 304 King, (Light Rail) route 504 King, and more nearby. DUNDAS WEST STATION - EASTBOUND PLATFORM Subway is also a 25-minute walk. For drivers, the closest highway is Gardiner Expressway and is within 400 meters, making it easier to get into and out of the city getting on and off at Dowling Ave.
