Little Portugal
The rebirth of the historical Drake and Gladstone Hotels along Queen Street signalled the beginning of rapid gentrification in Little Portugal, where Portuguese restaurants and businesses now share the neighbourhood with art galleries and trendy bars. New Toronto condos along Queen and Dundas make this diverse neighbourhood an increasingly attractive choice for urban professionals and small families enjoying access to Trinity Bellwoods Park and local restaurants and shops.

The Drake Hotel and Gladstone Hotel are the top must-see spots for brunch in all of Toronto and a great place for out of town guests to enjoy a bit of history. There are a number of fantastic restaurants in Little Portugal, plus the Ossington Strip is on your doorstep. There is a bit of greenery at McCormick Park but you are only a small hop from the beauty of Trinity Bellwoods Park, a great place to spend the day. The shops of Queen West are easily accessible and the food markets in Roncesvalles are open year round.

Streetcars travelling along Dundas and Queen Streets can take you anywhere you want to go, and the Dufferin bus connects with the Bloor-Danforth subway as well as the Go Station at Exhibition Place. If you’re driving, there are a number of major routes to take you to the Gardiner Expressway and the rest of the city.
There are a lot of great restaurants. If you can't start your day without caffeine fear not, your nearby choices include Fix Coffee + Bikes. For groceries there is Cocoa Fortunato which is not far.
Without a car, you can get around quite easily. It also has route Dufferin, and route Dufferin Night Bus nearby. For drivers, it might be easier to get around the city getting on or off Gardiner Expressway and Dowling Ave, which is within a 4-minute drive.
