Liberty Village
If you’re looking for a real up-and-coming neighbourhood, then Liberty Village is the place to see. With an interesting history, once the home to Toronto Central Prison and a Reformatory for Women, then a manufacturing mecca, Liberty Village takes its name from Liberty Street, which was the street prisoners would walk down once released. Today’s Liberty Village is a whole new world, with numerous modern Toronto condos filling the once abandoned spaces and some pretty cool authentic conversion style Toronto lofts.

The majority of the condos in Liberty Village are situated in the northeast corner of the neighbourhood so you don’t have to go too far to enjoy the green space of liberty Village Park or Gateway Park. You can spend the afternoon at Brazen Head Pub, play a game of Ultimate Frisbee at Lamport Stadium, or head down to BMO field to watch TFC win another match. Situated next to some of the coolest neighbourhoods in the city, you can head over to Parkdale for tacos or to King West to do a bit of shopping, plus there is always the glorious Trinity Bellwoods Park, which is only a short stroll away.

Living in a Liberty Village condo is made easier by the transit nearby. You can easily catch the 504 King Streetcar at any time as it runs 24 hours a day and there is a Go Train station at Exhibition Place if you’re looking to go further afield. If you’re driving around Liberty Village, there is access to the Gardiner Expressway and Lake Shore Blvd that can both make a quick trip to the downtown core or the East End of the city.
There are a lot of great restaurants. If you can't start your day without caffeine fear not, your nearby choices include Tim Hortons. Nearby grocery options: BulkBarn is only a 3 minute walk.
If you are looking for transit, don't fear, there is a Bus Stop (Nova Scotia Ave at Manitoba Dr - Exhibition GO Station) only steps away. It also has route Dufferin Night Bus nearby. For drivers, it might be easier to get around the city getting on or off Gardiner Expressway and Jameson Ave, which is within a 4-minute drive.
