Tucked between the western bank of the Humber River and Highway 401 to the north, Kingsview Village | The Westway is a family-friendly neighbourhood with a diverse and vibrant community. Originally developed as a residential suburb of single-family homes, there are now many apartment buildings along Dixon Road and Toronto condos for sale throughout the area.
As with most Etobicoke neighbourhoods, Kingsview Village | The Westway has abundant green spaces where outdoor lovers can spend countless hours. You’ll also find the Weston Golf and Country Club for an afternoon of sporting leisure and an evening of fine dining. The Westown Plaza Shopping Mall is a convenient place to pick up groceries or grab a bite to eat near home, while more exciting shopping can be found at Cloverdale Mall or Sherway Gardens to the south. The neighbourhood has a range of schools, as well as a community centre that offers a variety of recreation programs and activities throughout the year.
Local bus routes along Islington Avenue can connect residents to the Bloor-Danforth Subway line, or you can take Lawrence Avenue across to the Yonge-University line. Either way, you’re connected to the city. For drivers, zipping onto the 401 Highway is the best bet for getting around the city.
Some good places to grab a bite are 241 Pizza, Fionn MacCool's or Gourmet Express. Venture a little further for a meal at one of the neighbourhood's restaurants. If you love coffee, you're not too far from Tim Hortons located at 261 Dixon Rd. For those that love cooking, Emiliano & Ana's No Frills is a 5-minute walk.
Getting around the area is made simple. There is Islington Ave at Kingsview Blvd Bus Stop, not far, with route Islington, and route Islington Night Bus nearby. Access to Hwy 401 is within a 4-minute drive away, making it easy for those driving to get into and out of the city using on and off ramps on Islington Ave.
