Fort York is where the birth of Toronto (formerly York) happened in 1793. Designated as a National Historic Site of Canada in 1923, The Fort is open year round for tours and in the summer months there are a number of activities open to the public. Toronto condo developers have, in recent years started paying attention to the former industrial lands in this downtown neighbourhood bringing with them exciting architecture and improvements like restaurants, cafes and stores that previously hadn’t been available. There are a number of new condos planned for completion over the next few years and they will no doubt bring more exciting things with them. One of the most iconic loft conversions in the city is located in Fort York, who can say they have never noticed the Tip Top sign from the Gardiner Expressway?

Transit riders take note, you are only steps away to the closest Bus Stop (Fleet St at Bastion St West Side) with route Harbourfront, and route Bathurst. For drivers, it might be easier to get around the city getting on or off Gardiner Expressway and Rees St, which is within a 4-minute drive.
