One of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in the city, Forest Hill South is known for its canopy of trees and green space galore as well as some great boutique shopping and fantastic restaurants. Named after the summer home of John Wickson, Forest Hill was originally incorporated as a village in 1923 but changed to a neighbourhood in 1967. There are some prestigious schools in the area with Upper Canada College being one of the oldest, established in 1829. Located next to Yonge - St. Clair, which has a bit more of a city vibe and some of the best restaurants in the city and Casa Loma as well if you’re looking for a bit of culture.
With the 24 hour St. Clair Streetcar and easy access to the Spadina subway, getting downtown or over to the West End is easy. If you are driving, Allen Road is a few short blocks away and will connect you with the 401, which will take you anywhere you want to go.
