Learn more about Forma

Two twisting mixed-use towers standing at 73 and 84 storeys will house 2,034 units, with luxury services and amenities, wellness spaces, entertainment lounges, creative coworking spaces and an outdoor terrace – plus commercial, retail and restaurant space, and an exciting extension of OCAD University’s cutting-edge campus. Existing heritage buildings, including the beloved Princess of Wales and Royal Alex theatres, will be preserved and thoughtfully incorporated into the design

Live in an architectural icon

Forma is designed by an architect known the world over, and it isn’t like any other residence in Toronto – or anywhere else, for that matter. It joins the ranks of Gehry’s most famous buildings around the globe, from the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao  and the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris to the Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA and 8 Spruce Street, Manhattan’s tallest residential tower.

Forma’s design is classic Gehry: broken down into blocks that twist, turn and almost dance together, it’s modern and sculptural, ambitious and completely unique. His design challenges accepted forms, and is based in his belief that form doesn’t necessarily have to follow function. Instead, it inspires wonder.

Gehry's tribute to TO

Forma is being called Gehry’s homecoming project, a loving tribute to the city where he spent his childhood.

“Every city in the world has its own light,” he says. “The light is different here. The heritage is different. There's a feeling of Toronto that I had as a kid, and I wanted that to be in the DNA…I wanted to create an ensemble of buildings that were respectful to the city and referential to the Toronto that I once knew.”

Gehry's tallest building...ever

Forma’s 84-storey tower will be the famous architect’s tallest creation in the world – and one of the tallest skyscrapers in Toronto. Which means the views will be…spectacular.

Walk to everything

You can't beat the location. Situated at King and Duncan, Forma is in the heart of the city's dynamic entertainment district, steps away from the financial district and surrounded by tons of great shopping, dining and entertainment options.

An exciting new space for art and design

In addition to its amazing residences, Forma includes a 25,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art campus for OCAD University, with studios, seminar rooms, a theatre, and the Mirvish collection Art Gallery – which will be open to the public
