Nestled in the natural limestone landscape of the Niagara Escarpment, Ancaster feels like an old-time village within the City of Hamilton replete with the Ancaster Mill restaurant and the Coach & Lantern Pub. While it is one of the oldest European settlements in Southern Ontario, today the community is recognized more as a commuter town with many residents working in Hamilton, Burlington, and surrounding areas. Single-family homes and larger estates are the norms here, but there is a range of Hamilton condos for sale with more on the way in the future.

A picturesque community for young families, Ancaster has several elementary schools in both the public and Catholic school boards, as well as one High School for each board. The Ancaster Rotary Centre acts as a community recreation facility offering a fitness centre, meeting rooms, and a local daycare for the little ones, plus baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and ice rinks. Ancaster will appeal to the outdoorsy type, as it is home to a section of the Bruce Trail linking avid hikers to Queenston and Tobermory, not to mention the myriad trails, granite ridges, and waterfalls across the Escarpment.

Easily connected with the QEW and 403 Highways, Ancaster enjoys swift travel to the City of Hamilton, Toronto, and Niagara Falls. The Hamilton International Airport further connects this area to cities around the world.
