Once part of the North Vancouver District, this North Shore community came into its own in 1912, but it wasn’t until after the construction of the Lions Gate Bridge that the population really started to grow. The neighbourhoods of West Vancouver span the North Shore coastline from Horseshoe Bay to North Vancouver City and consist primarily of single-family homes built in the 70s and 80s. There are modern Vancouver condos here, most of which are mid-rise and townhouse developments that appeal to West Vancouver’s high percentage of older residents.

Some good places to grab a bite are Salmon House On the Hill and Vina Vietnamese Cuisine. Venture a little further for a meal at Feast. If you love coffee, you're not too far from Delany's Coffee located at 2424 Marine Dr. Nearby grocery options: Marketplace Iga is a 9-minute walk. As for close-by schools, Collingwood School and Mulgrave School are only a 4 minute walk away.

Getting around the area is made simpler with access to the TransLink. Burrard Station Platform 2 Subway stop is a 9-minute drive. There is also Westbound Queens Ave @ 2500 Block BusStop, nearby, with (Bus) route 251 Queens/park Royal nearby.
