Becoming known as the Oakwood Village, the Oakwood-Vaughn neighbourhood spans from St. Clair to Eglinton Avenue West. It enjoys a multi-cultural community of largely Italian families, Caribbean shops and restaurants, and local artists.

Nestled between Wychwood, Corso-Italia, and Humewood-Cedarvale, the area has seen a considerable community-driven revitalization over the last decade. The main driving force is the Oakwood Village Community Association that promotes the future of a vibrant, family-friendly, affordable neighbourhood. Nearby Little Jamaica on Eglinton and the many commercial outlets along St. Clair, residents are never too far from shopping, dining, and entertainment. There are still only a few Toronto condos along Eglinton Avenue, but this Midtown neighbourhood is growing and attracting many new residents and developers alike.

One of the best features of Oakwood-Vaughan is the number of excellent public transit options. With bus routes running along Oakwood, Dufferin, and Vaughan Road, residents are minutes from subway stations at St. Clair Subway or Eglinton. For drivers, the Allan Road expressway is two-minutes from Oakwood Ave on Eglinton, with smooth access to the 401.

There are quite a few restaurants to choose from. Some good places to grab a bite are Sushi Karu and Galo Do Sardinha Churrasqeira. Venture a little further for a meal at Churrasqueira Costa Verde BBQ Chicken, Oakwood Hardware Food & Drink or Vegwood. If you love coffee, you're not too far from Oakwood Espresso located at 342-B Oakwood Avenue. For those that love cooking, K & K Supermarket is a 4-minute walk.

Without a car, you can get around quite easily. The closest transit stop is a BusStop (OAKWOOD AVE AT ROGERS RD) and is nearby, but there is also a Subway stop, EGLINTON WEST STATION - SOUTHBOUND PLATFORM, only a 12 minute walk connecting you to the TTC. It also has (Bus) route 363 Ossington Night Bus, and (Bus) route 63 Ossington nearby. Residents also have decent access to Allen Rd, which is within a few minutes drive getting on and off at Lawrence Ave W.
