Marpole is the oldest area in Vancouver and the first neighbourhood visitors traveling from the south see when they reach the city. It is an up-and-coming South Vancouver trendy community that has a lot to offer with easy access to the city and airport, plenty of green space, and a variety of restaurants to choose from. It’s mostly residential, and the Vancouver condos in Marpole are booming, with numerous new projects such as Marine Gateway and MC2 in the planning stages and some just completing.

Recommended nearby places to eat are Chikara Fusion Food, Kuy's Lechon and Panago Pizza. If you can't start your day without caffeine fear not, your nearby choices include Starbucks. Groceries can be found at Hudson Grocery which is an 8-minute walk and you'll find Safeway a 9-minute walk as well. Cineplex Marine Gateway is only at a short distance away. You are only a 6 minute walk from great parks like Ash Park, Marpole Oakridge Community Centre and Tait Waterfront Park.

Without a car, you can get around quite easily. The closest transit stop is a BusStop (Southbound Oak St @ W 67 Ave) and is a short distance away, but there is also a Subway stop, Marine Drive Station Platform 1, a 7-minute walk connecting you to the TransLink. It also has (Bus) route 017 Oak/downtown nearby.
