One of the best areas in the city, Yonge and Lawrence is a well-established residential area with a lot to offer. There are only a handful of condos here at the moment but some savvy Toronto condo developers have a few new projects planned, which will bring some new life to the area. With it’s quiet tree lined streets and close proximity to more happening areas like Yonge and Eglinton, there are few places that can beat this Midtown spot.
Lawrence Park is one of the major draws here; it stretches a few blocks south and offers lots of green space, walking trails and the Lawrence Park Tennis Club as well. Whereas Lawrence Ave is mainly residential, you’ll find most of the action along Yonge Street, with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. There are the usual favorites when it comes to coffee, groceries and food but the great thing about established neighbourhoods like this is the independent shops, diners and cafes that have been around for years, they are what makes an area like this feel like home.
Choosing a condo at Yonge and Lawrence will make getting around so much easier. Only a short distance from the 401 and Allen Expressway, Lawrence Ave turns into Bayview Ave and in busy time that can be a great alternative way to get up or downtown. Access to the Young-University-Spadina line is available here, with numerous TTC surface routes servicing the area as well.
