If you want to be in the most happening neighbourhood north of Yonge and Bloor, then Mount Pleasant West is for you. Home to some of the most popular intersections for young professionals to call home, namely Yonge and Eglinton and Yonge and Davisville, residents will find loads of restaurants, bars, and cafes lining the streets. The neighbourhood has a slower pace compared to downtown, but the hustle and bustle have started to creep in bringing with it the fun and energy of the big city. There are a number of new Toronto condos underway, proving that the buzz in this Midtown hot spot is the real deal.

Great dining options abound here, with every kind of restaurant you could imagine, as well as some great boutiques, major chain stores, and new developments at the popular Yonge and Eglinton Centre. Despite its small size, there is green space aplenty here. June Rowlands Park is a great place to sit outside with a coffee and Mount Pleasant Cemetery, in Mount Pleasant East, has some amazing trails. Yonge - St. Clair has so much to offer with some amazing restaurants and the LCBO in Summerhill is worth the visit, even if you don’t buy a thing!

There are two options to catch the Yonge-University-Spadina subway and once the crosstown LRT is done, getting to and from Mount Pleasant will be easier than ever. Eglinton is a major artery for Midtown Toronto, giving lots of opportunities to connect with the 401 and Don Valley Parkway.

Some good places to grab a bite are Monkey Sushi Eglinton, Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill or Harvey's. Venture a little further for a meal at one of the neighbourhood's restaurants. If you love coffee, you're not too far from Starbucks located at 101 Eglinton Ave E. Groceries can be found at Loblaws which is only a 3 minute walk and you'll find Dr D D Yokota not far as well. Entertainment is close by, with Medley Theatre, Harold Green Jewish Theatre Co and Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Eglinton and VIP a 6-minute walk. For nearby green space, Dunfield Park and Hillsdale Avenue Parkette could be good to get out of your home and catch some fresh air or to take your dog for a walk.

Without a car, you can get around rather easily. The closest transit stop is a BusStop (YONGE ST AT SOUDAN AVE) and is only a 3 minute walk, but there is also a Subway stop, EGLINTON STATION - SOUTHBOUND PLATFORM, a 4-minute walk connecting you to the TTC. It also has (Bus) route 320 Yonge Night Bus, and (Bus) route 97 Yonge nearby. Access to Allen Rd is within a 9-minute drive away, making it easy for those driving to get into and out of the city getting on and off at Lawrence Ave W.
