Often billed as the ‘Upper Beaches,’ the East-End Danforth neighbourhood is just a short trip to Toronto’s well-known waterfront for fun outdoor excursions while offering much more affordable prices than found in The Beaches.
A growing residential neighbourhood, there are many Toronto lofts along Kingston Road that enjoy a quieter atmosphere amidst the local greenery of the Glen Stewart Ravine and other parks. And it’s only a ten-minute drive to the renowned restaurants and bazaars of Little India on Gerrard Street as well as the eclectic shops and eateries along Danforth Avenue.
As a home to East End condos, the neighbourhood has excellent transit connections with easy access to the Bloor subway line and the Main Street GO station for train travel to Union Station and east to Oshawa. It’s definitely a neighbourhood to watch for future developments.
Some good places to grab a bite are Prologue Cafe, Beach Hill Smokehouse or Domino's. Venture a little further for a meal at one of the neighbourhood's restaurants. If you love coffee, you're not too far from Tim Hortons located at 637 Kingston Rd. Nearby grocery options: Sobeys is a 6-minute walk.
Without a car, you can get around rather easily. It also has route Main nearby. For drivers, it might be easier to get around the city getting on or off Don Valley Parkway and Don Mills Rd, which is within a few minutes drive.
