A mid-size city in Halton Region with a mix of urban and rural areas, Burlington is a place where “people, nature, and business thrive.” Technically part of the GTA, Burlington sits on the western side of Lake Ontario beside Hamilton. The city was founded in 1915 and today it provides homes to more than 175,000 people.

Owing its settlement to fertile farmlands and central trading ports, Burlington is now one of the leaders in economic growth within the Golden Horseshoe area between Toronto and Niagara. The city has an established manufacturing industry, but it also enjoys a sense of industry diversification due largely to its central location between cities like Hamilton and Toronto. But somehow, this growing city maintains a small-town vibe that is culturally active, youth-friendly, and community oriented. You’ll find roughly 40 unique condos for sale in Burlington, with more new developments on the way.

Known for its progressive urban transportation system that includes local stops along the Go Transit railway line, Burlington is a place to feel connected. It has strong ties to Hamilton and is home to McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business. Throughout the year, Burlington hosts exciting city events such as The Sound of Music Festival and Canada’s Largest Ribfest. The city also boasts museums, art galleries and theatres, plus the world-renowned Royal Botanical Gardens. Next door to the Niagara Escarpment and the Bruce Trail, there is a great offering for outdoor excursions including hiking, parkland, and waterfront activities.

Burlington is definitely a city to watch for values and trends, especially with further advancements and new developments coming to the Go Transit system connecting residents, visitors, and businesses from Toronto to Niagara
