What amenities do you actually need?
All those amenities may sound great – the idea of resort-style living can be very appealing. But be sure you’ll actually use them, otherwise you’ll be paying maintenance fees for something you won’t get any benefit from.
However, more amenities don’t necessarily mean higher maintenance fees. Very often, condos with a lot of amenities are bigger buildings with more owners to share the costs. A smaller building with minimal amenities may not have lower condo fees because there are fewer owners contributing to operating costs.
