Don’t miss out: Get alerts for new listings

With properties in the city getting snapped up at record speeds, landing a place you like means you have to move FAST...Listing alerts (super-easy to set up on condos.ca and property.ca) ping you as soon as there’s a fresh listing that fits your criteria, so you can jump on it before someone else does. And voila...no more fear of missing out.

Setting up a listing alert on your desktop

1. Sign up for a condos.ca account.

2. Open up a search by selecting either For Sale or For Rent in the site navigation.

   

3. Select the area you want to search.

   

4. Click “More Filters” to set your price range, size range, number of bedrooms and the features/amenities you’re interested in.

   
   

5. Select “Get Alerts” to set up how often you receive them. You can add other recipients here, too.
   

   

6. And you’re off to the races – check your email for listings that match your filters.

Changing frequency or turning off alerts is easy too: just go into “My Account,” select “Saved Alerts” to manage them. Want to update your criteria? There’s an edit icon right in the alert that lets you add or remove filters, adjust the price, and more.

Setting up a listing alert on your mobile device

1. If you haven’t already downloaded the condos.ca app, start there. Apple Store Google Play

   

2. You can say yes to push notifications (if you’ve already downloaded the app, go into your phone settings to enable them)

   

3. Choose Sales or Leases from the dropdown, and search by address, neighbourhood or MLS# – or choose the “Search Nearby” option (you have to have location enabled).

   

4. Select “Filters” to set your price range, size range, number of bedrooms and the features/amenities you’re interested in and click the “View Listings” button.

   

5. Go to “Alerts” to set up how often you receive them.

   

6. And you’re all set up to be in-the-know about new listings!

Creating building alerts on the app

Get the scoop on new listings in buildings you’ve got your eye on. Click on the building name in any listing and you’ll see a button that says “Get Alerts.” Specify for sale/for rent, the number of bedrooms, price range and how often you want to get notified, and you’re done!
