Nestled in the natural limestone landscape of the Niagara Escarpment, Ancaster feels like an old-time village within the City of Hamilton replete with the Ancaster Mill restaurant and the Coach & Lantern Pub. While it is one of the oldest European settlements in Southern Ontario, today the community is recognized more as a commuter town with many residents working in Hamilton, Burlington, and surrounding areas.
